group of scholars, under the supervision of Shaykh Safiur-Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri, who were responsible for translating the commentary, but the translation
of the Qur’an is the one from The Noble Qur’an by Dr Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din
Al-Hilali and Dr Muhammad Muhsin Khan published by Darussalam, Riyadh, Saudi

volumes. Volumes 1-3 2002. The Urdu translation of The Noble Qur’an which forms
the basis of this English translation and commentary was undertaken by the
Muslim scholar popularly known as Shaikh-ul-Hind, Maulana Mahmood Hassan, Muhammad
Wali
Raazi.
He
completed the translation of the Arabic verses and also wrote a commentary for
the first three parts, Surah Al-Fatihah,
Surah Al-Baqarah and Al-Imran. The commentary on the rest of The Noble Qur’an
was written by Allama Shabbir Ahmad Usmani, Shaikh-ul-Islam of Pakistan by
whose name this exegesis is known. The English translation was undertaken by
Maulana Mohammad Ashfaq Ahmad. Published by Idara Isha’at-e-Diniyat (P) (Ltd),
